hi peter. I would like some fertile eggs. Would you be able to post them? And would they be ok going through the mail?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Hi Debbie
I'm afraid our Buff Colombian has now gone broody and the eggs I have are too old to send you. I do have some Gold Partridge and I also have some Speckled Sussex. The Brahmas are 2.50€ and the Sussex are 3€ Posting is not a problem although it can affect the fertility, it just depends on how gentle or not the journey is. Postage for a dozen eggs is 8€ including the polyboxes

Francofowl...
Thank you so much, cheque in post. I look forward to the eggs. Will my poor girl be ok sitting for another three weeks?
as my dad has been muttering about broodys going off the boil.

Re: Oeufs à couvée (Hatching eggs for sale/wanted)
Hi Debbie
I only hope La Poste is quick with them. Once you get them open them straight away and let them rest with a wedge under one side. I would normally recommend 24 hrs but as she has been sat a while I would get them under the hen that night. Once she has been on them about five days she should stay sitting tight as they seem to know that the eggs are good, perhaps they feel the embryos moving or the heart beats, after all, if you can buy a machine that can detect the heart beat in an egg I don't see why a hen can't! If you can get her to eat and drink while she is broody all the better. We have a Silkie who has sat for over 6 weeks, first on eggs that proved to be infertile and then on a batch that were. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Let me know when they arrive.
Regards Peter

They have arrived, a bit battered, but all eggs intact, thanks to your sturdy boxes. She is sat on them now and making clucky noises, so fingers crossed. They are due to hatch the day the kids break up for the summer holidays.

Does anyone happen to have any Bantam Rhode Island Red? I'd be interested in getting some hatching eggs.
