Winter shelter

Parts of the UK and Europe are being dusted with snow.

I was wondering, do you do anything different during the winter months for your animals or is it a case of a little extra straw and feed?

Have you even had snow yet?

Here in Southend-on-Sea we had a 15 minute light flurry last week but that was it..

Lots of dramatic snow storms on Thursday - near white out occasionally. All gone the next day. When I kept hens (regretting not having them, but it makes no sense now) I did give them porridge on really cold days but that was my limit. Now I do the same for the wild birds instead.

Don't really do anything different. A bit more straw is about all!
