'Rubbish basket' made from plastic strapping, 2 small carrier bags (red and gold of weaving) and 2 bags from 9 roll toilet roll packs (rest of weaving).

It took a while. First you have to cut the bags in a spiral to make one long length. Then you make the base, this one used plastic strapping which has a mind of it's own! Once the base is woven to size bend the weavers up to make the uprights and then you can start adding in the weaving, you use 2 strands at a time twisting them between the uprights so they alternate going in front and behind. The thicker your strands, the faster the growth. When the basket is nearly the height you want it, bend the uprights over and weave over the doubled bits for a few more rows. Thread something through all the uprights' loops and tie off, then pull the uprights down so they are tight at the top of the basket. Sounds simple - I had to use pliers for this last bit so I could grip them. When done, snip off the excess. It took a few evenings work to make this basket.

This one if you use a plastic bucket lid or similar as a base, which is quicker than the coiled base, would be the quickest. Drill holes around the lid to start tying in the cords:
