Realise that to most of you this will be a very silly question , when do i pick my broad beans? The ones i've grown are dwarf and the pods are about 3" or 4" long

you can pick them now and cook them whole ,or wait a week or so and let them get bigger and pod them

have a squeeze I am guessing not much in them yet ! are they a longpod variety
I have just picked some they are 10 inches long and the beans inside are still quite small the size of my thumbnail for the largest and I have short nails !
