Perch location

Hi I'm wanting a bit of advise really regarding my coop.
My coop has 2 perches same height as the nestbox, however I was advised the other day that laying hens prefer the perches higher than the nestbox?
Is this correct?

Re: Wood preserve

I'm due to treat my coop at end of the month and I bought creocote from my local toolstation.
They do dark or light brown.
£8.93 per 4L.

How many laying hens please ?

Hi I've bought a coop with attached run and the sizes are:
Length: 220cm inc nest box and overhangs
Width: 75cm inc overhangs
Top to bottom: 113 to apex

How many hybrids can I buy so the birds are comfy enough?
Max?

Thank you

I'm thinking more march time before I assemble my coop and purchase some birds.
Is March a better time?
