at our last house we had an elderberry easy to keep in check and the girls love the berries getting exercise jumping to reach them

try her on maggots from fishing shop or cat food not with chicken in though, I kept silkies for a number of years and they do lose condition when broody and rearining, do check for parasites, she will probably be much happier with the chicks mine always chose on their own when was time to leave them

Ha Ha I said I would prefer no older than a week and the maximum would be 10-12 as in days taken to lay a clutch, have been keeping chickens in excess of 40 years !!!! :roll:

and always get better results the fresher they are ! [-X

I would prefer no older than a week for hatching max is usually how many they can sit on usually 10-12

no bedding in a roll away as the eggs will not roll , I got some as kept Silkies and we used to leave them for a few days at a time and they need no encouragement to go broody took sometime for them to use them and still one insisted on using the floor

mine cost loads more about £90 but a totally different product and almost silent , a previous dog didn't like the noisy ones, they were made by Wahl and totally useless on a thick terrier coat only used them 4 times !

I have 2 Border Terriers which are supposed to be stripped but I tried on a previous 1 and it made his skin sore so I now use clippers , which you cannot do with this breed if you want to show!, I have Andis AGC2 but the blade that comes with it is very very short I bought a 4FC 9.5mm which is still...

In our last house there was an elderberry we kept it at about 4 foot with pruning they loved to sit on the branches and to eat the berries when they took all the bottom ones I would pick the higher ones for them as Silkies they needed some help , does make the droppings interesting colourwise though

put a pile of bran down the slugs and snails will eat it , kills 1 makes the other very ill cannot remember which way around but at least when the birds eat them no harm ! try baby wipes I use them for loads of marks and stains even dusting and it won't hurt the bird, may take time an a whole packet though at least they easy to get hold of here in France

there were free ranging gos near us in the lakes they had the sows piglets and boars all running together ! I love pig and often stopped to look at them seemed to be the same year round lots of shelters and tiny piglets up to full grown all mixed up !
