Adding to the flock is done all the time by people so perfectly ok. As for hatching eggs you may struggle as you have too many hens for the cock, normally a 7:1 ratio to ensure fertile eggs.

All sounds good apart from the perches, 2x2 timber with the edges rounded off slightly is much better for them.

Buff orpington ? As for sex cant see its head properly. If those pieces of wood are perches i would take them down as they are too small and mess the chicks keel bone up.

Oh i see, well labour will cost basically the same as the materials. Also the terrain needs to be taken into account. Ask your neighbours who they use and get some quotes.
